We are thrilled to introduce the two keynote presenters for the October 25 GAME MTS PD Day session titled Designing Games for Change: A Game Plan for Educators.
Mary Elizabeth Pearson, Director of Curriculum and Professional Development for G4C Learn, brings over 25 years of experience in education. With a rich career spanning elementary to university levels, both in the U.S. and internationally, she is known for her work in instructional technology and game-based learning. Her recent focus includes integrating gaming into classrooms, particularly through Minecraft Education, to foster deeper learning outcomes.
Brendon Trombley, Lead Game Designer at Games for Change, is a seasoned creator of learning games and interactive experiences. With a passion for using play to engage and inspire, Brendon has collaborated with organizations such as BrainPOP, Quest to Learn, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America to produce innovative educational experiences. His work ensures learning becomes a joyful, natural experience for all ages.
Together, they will guide educators through the transformative potential of game design in building critical skills and empowering students as agents of change.
