A new form of competition has come to Manitoba High Schools with the launch of the Manitoba High School eSports League. Eleven high schools in Winnipeg and the surrounding area started with their first day of competition on March 6, 2019. There are actually fourteen teams among them as several high schools have two teams. They are playing a very popular game League of Legends. Committee members expect this league to take off and get large very quickly, looking forward to expanding next year to even more high schools.

High Schools competing included JH Bruns, Windsor Park, Glenlawn, Dakota, Nelson McIntyre, Louis Riel Arts & Technology Centre, Kelvin, Grant Park, St. Anne and St. Norbert.

Take a look at the schools involved here and the record after one day.
